Serves as primary source of support for Baptist Health’s Physician Practices Revenue Management team for development of training materials, user training, quality assurance and performance improvement. A strong candidate for the Continuous Educator role needs to be equipped to learn and retain a wide breadth of Epic and workflow‑specific information, establish and maintain excellent rapport with and respect from peers in administrative, management, and front‑line team members, communicate effectively to a variety of audiences, and have the ability to impress the importance of training and engagement to end users.
The role requires motivation by continuous improvement, the development, facilitation and tracking of orientation and onboarding of new employees, and providing training and ongoing education related to workflows and overall support for all specialized areas within the revenue management team (billing, AR/collections, cash applications, refunds, contract compliance). The successful candidate will utilize a variety of teaching strategies to meet individual and group learning needs, must be innovative and engage end users in organizational priorities and team objectives.
- Proven EPIC experience strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of physician practice revenue management cycles or other clinical‑based patient financial services.
- Experience and expertise in providing training in a variety of settings using different technology and approaches for multiple positions.
- Previous program development, training and/or go‑live support for billing, collections and support teams.
- Strong analytical, writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various levels of employees and present to a target audience.
- Excellent computer proficiency, with EPIC experience highly preferred (MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently, initiate influence and lead assignments to completion within parameters provided.
- EPIC certifications or accreditations; knowledge of statistics, data collection and presentation preferred.
- Ability to travel between sites and provide training and support both in person and through remote venues.
- Experience:
5 years.
Preferred: EPIC certifications and/or accreditations; professional healthcare billing certification(s).
