This position is PRN, working hours or shifts as needed. No weekends or major holidays. Address: 1132 S 14th St, Fernandina Beach, FL.

• Maintains effective communication with patients, providing explanations of procedures within scope of practice.
• Uses Athena to report patient safety issues and to document occurrences.
• Maintains proactive communication with the radiologist regarding unusual clinical findings, history, test results, and implications.
• Ensures physician order for procedure is entered accurately and consults resources to clarify unfamiliar or questionable orders.
• Optimizes use of supplies, equipment and services, ensuring high level of clinical care at lowest cost and actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety or quality of care.
• Ensures orders match diagnosis to ensure proper reimbursement for services.
• Introduces self and role to patient, acts as an advocate keeping the patient’s best interests at the forefront.
• Willingly assists co-workers to achieve goals and acts as a resource to co-workers as appropriate.
• Actively participates in staff meetings and in-services.
• Assumes personal responsibility for professional development and promotes development of self and others through participation in professional organizations, educational opportunities, etc.
• Acts as an ambassador for Millennium Physician Group, promoting a professional and positive image of the organization’s capabilities and services to the public.

• Mammography Technologist must hold all certifications and licenses related to scope of practice.
• Must be able to handle a high volume, fast‑paced environment with a pleasant disposition.
• Responsible for maintaining all quality control records, ACR accreditation forms and daily logs for modality‑specific areas.
• Proficient in computer software: PACS, eRad, Athena Clinicals and Communicator.
• Must obtain a detailed history on every exam and present it to the radiologist.
• Must schedule all special procedures and biopsies daily as needed.
• Must follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of patients and equipment.
• Must be able to multi‑task with attention to detail.
• Must read and respond to communication from manager in a timely manner.

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or accredited radiologic school; six months to one year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Active State of Florida Radiologic Technology license, BLS, RT(R), RT(M) or a passed exam within one year of employment.
