Speech Language Pathologist; SLP

Speech Language (SLP) - Lauderdale Lakes, Florida

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality patient care to our residents. As an SLP at Palms Care Center, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, conduct therapy sessions, and provide education and support to residents and their families.

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve specific goals and objectives
• Provide speech and language therapy sessions to residents, including individual and group sessions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans
• Conduct swallowing screenings and therapy sessions as needed
• Provide education and support to residents and their families on speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Experience working with geriatric and sub-acute populations preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Medicare regulations and guidelines
