Busy primary care practice seeking an experienced Medical Front Desk Coordinator with strong insurance verification skills and exceptional customer service. This is a high‑impact role; the front desk sets the tone for the entire patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor
  • Perform accurate insurance verification (HMO, Medicare, Commercial plans)
  • Confirm eligibility, copays, referrals, and authorizations
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
  • Answer high‑volume, multi‑line phones
  • Collect copays and outstanding balances
  • Ensure patient demographics and insurance information are up to date
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain efficient patient flow
  • Maintain front desk organization and workflow
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of medical front desk experience (REQUIRED)
  • Strong insurance verification experience (REQUIRED)
  • Knowledge of HMO plans, Medicare, and commercial insurance
  • Excellent customer service skills with a bubbly, friendly personality
  • Strong computer skills (EMR experience preferred; eClinicalWorks is a plus)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent memory/retention skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in primary care or internal medicine
  • Experience with referrals and authorizations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
