Activity Assistant

East Ridge Village is seeking a PRN or Part Time Activity Assistant!

Job Summary:

The Activity Assistant develops and implements lifestyle programming that provides opportunities for residents which promote a high level of healthy living, wellbeing, engagement, and growth.

Essential

Job Duties:

• Prepare and implement activity programs in adherence to the monthly calendar.

• Collaborate in the planning of activity programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for the residents.

• Collaborate in the planning of appropriate programs for holidays and special events; assist in coordinating holiday decorations for the community.

• Collaborate in the preparation, organization, and distribution of the calendar of events each month.

• Collaborate in decorating appropriate areas.

• Collaborate in storing supplies appropriately.

• Observe residents participating in programs to gauge their enjoyment and obtain feedback to improve programming.

• Document resident participation in programs and self-directed activities.

• Communicate resident changes and program effectiveness with Activities Supervisor.

• Interact with residents, guests, and staff in an atmosphere of hospitality.

• Protect the privacy of the resident when communicating oral and written information.

• Collect and pass out monthly calendars, event flyers, and resident mail.

• Carry out resident council & family circle duties

• Assessing residents upon intake to ensure care plan leads to highest quality of life and reflects previous lifestyle choices.

• Keep activity areas maintained.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required;
  Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred but not required.

• One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
