Job Description

The Front Office Supervisor will oversee the operation of the Front Desk to include code capture, chart compliance, and insurance denials. Provides financial assistance to patients, ensures effective chart flow and code capture through timely processing of patient charts and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages workflow of scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Ensures telephones are answered in timely and courteous manner and patient needs are appropriately addressed by front office staff
  • Coordinates staffing to ensure adequate coverage for all locations (to include lunch and breaks)
  • Oversees orientation/training including cross training to ensure staff availability/coverage requirements caused by vacations, sickness, peak loads
  • Collaborates with Administrator in selecting, monitoring and evaluating front office staff
  • Ensures positive customer service atmosphere and interactions in administrative areas
  • Investigates customer complaints and ensures timely response where needed
  • Promotes teamwork through collaboration
  • Enforces and assures compliance with all Company policies
  • Maintains attendance according to scheduled days and hours and appropriate dress and appearance standards, according to company policy
  • Attends mandatory company training sessions as required by state/federal law where applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Good telephone, computer, and typing skills.
  • Preferred candidate with Medical Manager experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a medical office environment required.
  • Office management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • A high attention to detail is required, as well as an ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong sense of customer service.
