Position: Physical Therapy Assistant PTA (or Athletic trainer)

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Athletic trainer to join our team at a peaceful and new orthopedic physical therapy clinic located in the 33136 zip code in a brand new building. This is a part‑time position with the opportunity to transition to full‑time if they would like, based on clinic needs and employee preference.

They may also come in as a contractor if they'd like. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who can work independently and is comfortable with a high degree of autonomy in their role. Hours can be chosen by PTA/AT as long as it stays consistent for the most part through the year.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions.
  • Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home exercise programs.
  • Perform manual therapy techniques as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, the supervising Physical Therapist, and administrative staff.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid PTA license/AT License in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a PTA/AT, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule and Benefits

This position offers a flexible schedule where the successful candidate can choose their work hours. Once established, the schedule should remain consistent.
