Role Description

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist will provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to clients with diverse mental health needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating care with other professionals as needed. The therapist will also offer crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and support to clients’ families, ensuring a holistic approach to care. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Miami, FL, requiring consistent presence at the center to serve clients and participate in team meetings and case consultations.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health and Family Therapy, with the ability to provide evidence-informed counseling to individuals and families.
  • Strong skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to develop goals, monitor progress, and coordinate services effectively.
  • Background in Social Work or related helping professions, with experience in community resources and client advocacy.
  • Active state licensure (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in good standing; eligibility to practice in Florida.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.
  • Proficient in maintaining clinical records, adhering to ethical standards, and following applicable laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and cultural humility skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Experience providing therapy in outpatient or community mental health settings; bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) are a plus.
