- Collects data and collaborates with the RNs in the assessment processes of patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises
- Facilitates the implementation of nursing care plans promoting emotional well-being as delegated
- Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care
- Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients
- Educates patients on interpersonal and self-care skills.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living
- Conducts age appropriate psycho-educational groups
- Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and reacts promptly.
- Communicates patient care observations and safety concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team
