Job Description:

  • Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Applicants

  • Location:

    Sports Medicine and Rehab 960 Rinehart, Lake Mary, Florida
  • Schedule:

    Monday
    - Friday. Open 7am-7pm (shift To be determined)
  • The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $36/hour.
  • Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
  • Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
  • Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
  • Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.
  • Participates in marketing to physicians and physician practices to build referral relationships.
  • Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
  • Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships.
  • Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
  • Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director.
  • Practices principles of professional development by maintaining clinical competencies, using best and/or evidence-based practices, and serving as a clinical instructor.
  • Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.
  • Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
  • Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department, through effective time management and clinical efficiency and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Entry level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications as defined in competency/department policies [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

Education:

  • Doctorate [Preferred]

Field of Study:

  • in Physical Therapy

Work Experience:

  • Treating patients in General Orthopedic population and patients part of our "Female Lifespan Program" [Preferred]

Additional Information:

  • Education requirements for this position are determined by the licensing or certification standards set forth by the relevant certifying body. Applicants must possess the level of education mandated for eligibility to obtain and maintain the required license or certification.
