Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a dynamic acute care team in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and supporting patients requiring invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and skilled respiratory professional looking to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with a strong clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document patient respiratory assessments, including:
    • Breath sounds
    • Airway patency
    • Cuff pressure
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including:
    • Oxygen delivery
    • Aerosol medication delivery
    • Chest physiotherapy
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
  • Monitor patient response to therapy and notify providers of any changes or unintended responses
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients
  • Respond to emergency patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate in Respiratory Care
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) / Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date
  • Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
