Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a dynamic acute care team in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and supporting patients requiring invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and skilled respiratory professional looking to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with a strong clinical team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and document patient respiratory assessments, including:
- Breath sounds
- Airway patency
- Cuff pressure
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including:
- Oxygen delivery
- Aerosol medication delivery
- Chest physiotherapy
- Assist with placement of artificial airways
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
- Monitor patient response to therapy and notify providers of any changes or unintended responses
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients
- Respond to emergency patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate in Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) / Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
