Qualifications MinimumJob Requirements
- 1-3 years healthcare experience
- Ability to communicate sufficiently well in English both verbally and in writing to request supplies and properly label supply items.
- Ability to follow simple instructions to accomplish repetitive tasks.
- Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with clients and peers.
- Knowledge in use of computers and printers, and/or ability to learn appropriate software application(s).
- Knowledge of Spanish helpful.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
Specific Duties
- Delivers and collects respiratory therapy equipment to/from patient care areas.
- Assists with medical gas cylinder transfers and maintains inventory control.
- Performs daily patient rounds to track equipment inventory.
- Performs the decontamination, testing, and reassembly of respiratory therapy equipment as per department policies and procedures.
- Completes paper-based log with decontamination status.
- Responds to requests for respiratory therapy services and alerts appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Maintains respiratory care supplies at par levels throughout RT supply rooms.
- Answers department phone and assists customers promptly and courteously, communicating patient information with RT staff.
