We are seeking a Senior Provider Services Assistant to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

The Senior Provider Services Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare provider operations by ensuring seamless communication and coordination between providers and internal teams. This position is responsible for managing provider data, assisting with credentialing processes, and resolving provider inquiries efficiently to maintain high levels of provider satisfaction. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in provider records and compliance with regulatory standards.

The Senior Provider Services Assistant acts as a liaison to facilitate timely updates and problem resolution, contributing to the overall effectiveness of provider network management. Ultimately, this position supports the organization’s mission to deliver quality healthcare services by maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with providers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in provider services, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with provider management software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related discipline.
• Experience with healthcare credentialing processes and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare data privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with diverse provider groups.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and update provider information in internal databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
• Assist with the credentialing and re-credentialing processes by collecting, verifying, and submitting required documentation.
• Respond promptly to provider inquiries via phone, email, or other communication channels, providing clear and professional assistance.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as network management, claims, and compliance to resolve provider-related issues.
• Prepare reports and maintain records related to provider services activities to support operational and regulatory requirements.
