Position: Patient Scheduler 2 – Oncology
  • Schedule all types of complex treatments with attention to detail
  • Answer incoming phone calls and contact patients to determine proper treatment times
  • Provide exceptional customer service and educate patients on CTU appointment preparation
  • Schedule multiple treatments across multiple modalities and entities using scheduling software and network drives
  • Review and compare previous imaging reports with current orders
  • Coordinate processes and timing for special procedures or treatments as required by physicians and facilities
  • Notify appropriate parties when patients require labs, allergy premedication, oral sedation medication, or implant information
  • Interact with referring physicians, radiologists, technologists, and patients to ensure smooth coordination of procedures and exams
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to manage high call volumes
  • Ability to use multiple computer applications, scheduling software, and network drives
  • Knowledge of complex medical terminology and precise scheduling protocols
  • Ability to obtain and verify demographic and insurance information
  • Ability to screen and verify information accurately when scheduling CTU appointments
  • Ability to coordinate diagnostic therapy, treatments, procedures, and exams
  • Ability to communicate with patients, referring physicians, radiologists, and technologists
  • Ability to adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures
  • Ability to safeguard University assets
