The Rehab Aide, under the supervision of the manager, prepares patients for and assists therapists in treatment, and demonstrates a good working knowledge of treatment techniques. Maintains the PM Department in a clean and orderly fashion. Communicates appropriate patient information. Assures adequate stock of supplies and performs clerical duties. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Primary duties:
Equipment cleaning and monitoring rooms for discharging patients to gather therapy equipment, keeping gyms organized and monitoring supplies for re-ordering, assisting therapists with patient care such as being a second assist for transfers, gait, or balance activities. Basic Excel data entry tasks.
What qualifications you will need:
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- No experience required. However, prior experience in a patient care related field preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate with patients using auditory Input and Output.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- High School Graduate / GED
