Job Overview

The Medical Staff Coordinator supports the medical staff committees and manages the credentialing and re‑credentialing processes for members of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals.

• Supports the medical staff committees and the credentialing and re‑credentialing processes for members of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals.
• Processes initial applications and reappointment applications in accordance with established policies, rules, regulations, bylaws, and regulatory government standards to ensure only qualified practitioners provide care within the hospital.
• Participates in projects initiated by the medical staff.

• High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, training or experience required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• NMCC certification preferred with expectation to obtain it within 3 years of employment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital or managed care credentialing.
• Detail‑oriented professional with knowledge of modern office equipment operations.
• Database and computer literacy required.
• Effective professional business written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service, organization, planning and time‑management skills.

Estimated pay range for this position is $20.02 - $25.42 per hour depending on experience.
