Location
Miami, FL – Downtown, Little Havana, Kendall, Homestead
Responsibilities- Records details of chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, past medical history, social history, family medical history, disease risk factors, medications and allergies
- Records details of physical exam, including pertinent positives and negatives, noted abnormalities and patient general condition
- Records orders as desired by medical provider and provides consistent updates to the provider for completion of those orders
- Assists in disposition of patient, whether discharged or admitted, including discharge instructions, admission orders, follow‑up instructions, and documentation of prescription medications
- Ensures compliance with EMR‑required measured data, such as E/M coding requirements, Meaningful Use criteria and documentation of Medical Decision Making
- Education: Minimum age 18 years old;
High School Diploma required;
Medical Terminology course or certificate required;
Preferably at least one year of college in Pre‑Health Studies or administrative studies in a healthcare related field - Experience: Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications;
Excellent communication and customer service skills;
Desire to learn and grow within the healthcare field;
Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm - Schedule: Part‑time entry level position;
Scheduling flexibility required;
Reliable attendance and transportation mandatory;
Able to work emergency room hours including overnight shifts, holidays, or weekends - Physical: Must be able to stand and move quickly for long periods; frequent walking for short distances; repetitive motion work with keyboards and physical writing
