Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Assistant to support clinical trial operations through the collection and processing of biological specimens. This role is responsible for performing protocol-specific blood draws, collecting vital signs, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with clinical research regulations and study requirements.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform blood specimen collection via venipuncture according to study protocol schedules and timelines.
+ Accurately document blood draws, specimen collections, and research procedures using paper and/or electronic systems in accordance with SOPs.
+ Assist with the proper labeling, preparation, and handling of blood collection tubes and biological specimens.
+ Ensure all required collection tubes, equipment, and supplies are available and prepared prior to scheduled blood draw times.
+ Set up and prepare the research unit for scheduled study activities and appropriately remove equipment and supplies upon completion.
+ Obtain and accurately record participant vital signs, identifying and reporting abnormal findings when necessary.
+ Promptly report adverse events, protocol deviations, or participant non-compliance to the Study Nurse Coordinator.
+ Adhere to OSHA regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and company Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Review and understand study protocols, visit schedules, and research requirements to ensure accurate execution of study activities.
+ Support a safe, organized, and participant-focused clinical research environment.
Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent (verification required).
+ Completion of a Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Certification.
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
+ Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant in a fast-paced clinical setting.
+ Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
+ Ability to accurately document clinical activities and maintain attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
Preferred Experience
+ Clinical research experience.
+ Experience supporting clinical trials.
+ Familiarity with GCP guidelines and research protocols.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
