Role Description

The Medical Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL, responsible for welcoming patients and serving as the first point of contact for the practice. Day-to-day tasks include greeting patients, checking them in and out, verifying demographic and insurance information, and managing appointment scheduling and confirmations. The Medical Receptionist will answer and route phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and maintain a professional and courteous front desk environment.

Additional responsibilities include handling patient paperwork, supporting medical staff with administrative tasks, and ensuring that the reception area and waiting room are organized and presentable.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Appointment Scheduling skills and experience with managing patient calendars and follow-up visits.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Phone Etiquette and communication skills for handling incoming calls, messages, and patient inquiries.
  • Candidates should possess core Receptionist Duties skills, including greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out, and organizing front desk workflows.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately handle patient information and support clinical staff.
  • Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office setting, including familiarity with electronic health records and basic insurance verification.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior medical receptionist or healthcare administrative experience is preferred.
