You’re the first smiling face our guests see when they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our guests in a warm, welcoming manner. You help usher guests to their tables, manage seating flow, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out as well as on the way in.

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, and a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in "Smile Talk" while escorting them to tables in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the wait list for seating
• Communicates guest questions or concerns to the manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris; restocks and cleans menus
• Restocks and maintains restroom cleanliness for guests
• Answers telephone within 4 rings and directs guests to proper staff
• Concludes guests’ visit with "Smile Talk"
• Performs shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Can bend, stoop, and reach frequently; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Speaks, reads, and writes English
• Completes and passes Florida Responsible Vendor program (in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes)
• Completes and passes food safety certification program (in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes)

• 5‑day work week
• Paid vacation:
  One week after year one, two weeks after two years, and three weeks after ten years
