GENERAL MANAGER
At Sea | $4,000 - $6,000 USD per Month
We are searching for a passionate and hospitality-driven General Manager to lead all operations aboard a luxury river cruise vessel, with a soft opening announced for November. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader ready to step into a GM role, or a seasoned GM looking for a unique and rewarding next chapter. A food and beverage background is preferred, and above all, we are looking for someone with genuine passion for hospitality and a deep understanding of what it means to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Cruise ship experience is not required.
The vessel caters primarily to the U.S. and Mexican markets, with high season spanning six months of the year. Rotations are available on a 6 or 9-month basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide overall leadership and direction across all departments aboard the vessel, ensuring seamless and exceptional guest experiences
- Oversee food and beverage, spa, housekeeping, guest services, and all other operational functions
- Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing on-board team, fostering a culture of warmth, excellence, and genuine hospitality
- Serve as the primary ambassador for the vessel, engaging with guests and setting the tone for the overall experience
- Drive operational performance, cost management, and revenue across all on-board departments
- Collaborate with ownership and management to establish standards, programming, and the overall guest journey
- Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and operational regulations across the vessel
- Seasoned hospitality leader with a strong operational background; candidates stepping into their first GM role from a senior leadership position are welcome
- Food and beverage background is preferred, with a solid understanding of luxury dining and guest experience
- Genuine passion for hospitality and a natural ability to connect with guests and inspire a team
- Proven ability to lead multi-department operations in a luxury hotel, resort, or comparable environment
- Cruise ship or maritime experience is not required; adaptability to life and work aboard a vessel is essential
- English fluency is required;
Spanish language skills are a strong advantage - Entrepreneurial mindset with the flexibility and enthusiasm to thrive in a pre-opening environment
- Salary: $4,000 to $6,000 USD per month
- Rotation contract available on a 6 or 9-month basis
