The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role where our client is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to own the overall cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of the property.

The selected candidate will be the primary point of accountability for housekeeping operations, responsible for quality control and ensuring every unit and common area meets guest-ready standards daily.

They will act as a critical operational leader, working closely with the General Manager, Front Desk, and external housekeeping teams to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high standards across the property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations across all units and common areas, ensuring consistent cleanliness and readiness for all arrivals.
  • Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping staff and external vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, efficiency, and timing standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes, including inspections and follow-ups.
  • Act as the first responder for housekeeping-related issues impacting guest experience, coordinating immediate solutions.
  • Manage scheduling, task assignments, and turnover planning based on occupancy and operational needs.
  • Track housekeeping and laundry performance, costs, and productivity, reporting regularly and identifying improvement areas.
  • Coordinate with Front Desk and Operations to ensure accurate room status and seamless communication.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in workflows, staffing, and vendor performance.
What Success Looks Like (KPIs)
  • 100% of arrivals cleaned, inspected, and ready by 3:45 PM daily.
  • 100% completion of scheduled housekeeping services (departures, stayovers, requests).
  • Housekeeping closets fully stocked and organized daily.
  • Laundry processed daily with no backlog and full linen availability.
  • Real-time alignment between physical room status and system updates.
  • Guest requests addressed within a 15-minute response time.
  • Cleaning-related complaints remain below threshold with zero repeat issues.
  • Housekeeping costs maintained within budget without unapproved overruns.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in housekeeping operations, with 2–3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in high-rise properties, condo-hotels, or mixed-use buildings preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume turnovers while maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong operational and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience managing external vendors is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency with digital tools for scheduling and task management (e.g., Breezeway, Visual Matrix, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
