Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Talent Manager
Responsible for day-to-day administration of the benefit plans. Primary benefit contact for team members. Advise team members on eligibility and coverage provisions of plans. Participate in problem resolutions. Liaises with benefit providers in the resolution of team member concerns. Act as custodian of benefit records and maintains the integrity of benefit records in HRMS databases.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Update and maintain HR Systems with all relevant benefits and retirement data.
- Administer Team Member benefit plan enrollments and changes in HRIS and carrier systems as needed. Follow up with team members to obtain missing information from enrollment data. Distribute confirmation statements as needed.
- Creates and transmits electronic carrier interface files. Ensures files are created and transmitted in a timely manner according to the appropriate schedules.
- Review exception reports related to the data file interfaces with benefit carriers. Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide assistance to team members requiring routine information, clarification and resolution with regards to insurance issues.
- Assist with New Hire Orientation.
- Administer Health Savings Account enrollments and contributions.
- Process biweekly Flexible Spending Account files. Coordinate between carrier and team member to resolve any issues or errors. Administer annual rollover process with Flexible Spending Account carrier.
- Assist with plan audits and participant listing to ensure proper and correct information is on file with carriers.
- Participate in the planning and coordination of annual enrollment and related communication campaign.
- Coordinate team member activities as related to Benefits and Wellness as instructed. Coordinate events from planning through implementation.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
High School Diploma
FIELD(S) OF STUDY:Or any relevant equivalent work experience, training, skills and/or certifications.
EXPERIENCE- 1-2 years Human Resources experience preferably in the field of benefits administration.
- Demonstrated understanding of benefit legislation including COBRA, HIPAA, PPACA and ERISA as well as DOL and IRS regulations is essential.
- Ability to interpret complex benefit regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are required to deal effectively with all levels of team members.
- Must be sensitive to team member needs while ensuring benefit programs are administered in a consistent and equitable manner and according to contracts and benefit regulations.
- Sound judgment and discretion are essential when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills necessary to accomplish tasks in a highly time sensitive environment.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and experience with People Soft preferred.
