Human Resources Director

Korn Ferry has partnered with a cannabis company in greater Miami area in their search for a Human Resources Director. This HR Director will report directly to the CFO and will lead the human resources department for a growing organization at the forefront of innovation.

• Enhance and streamline HR operations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Manage a team of HR direct reports.
• Design and implement training and learning programs.
• Create talent development initiatives to enrich employee skills and career growth.
• Contribute to the organization’s design and structure as it expands into new locations.
• Implement best practices to optimize the effectiveness of the human resources function.
• Support the development of an organization valuing employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
• Develop and execute strategy for recruiting hourly and salaried professionals.
• Provide guidance and leadership to leadership on vital HR issues.
• Develop strategies to retain top talent and minimize turnover.
• Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations.
• Advocate for the organization’s vision and mission, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of progressive human resources experience.
• Experience working in the retail or manufacturing industry.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Culture transformation experience.
