JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Intern will provide comprehensive support to the HR department, assisting with recruitment coordination, employee record maintenance, and administrative tasks. This role ensures operational efficiency by managing the employee badging process, performing document audits, reconciling benefit invoices, and serving as a key point of contact for employee inquiries while upholding strict confidentiality standards.

DUTIES OF THE POSITION

The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Coordinate the employee badging process, including capturing headshots and the production and distribution of badges

Provide recruitment support through the organization and scheduling of candidate interviews, issuance of offer letters and new hire communications, maintenance of the organizational chart, and submission of IT tickets for onboarding

Manage employee records by filing essential documents, such as I-9 forms and job descriptions, into personnel folders

Conduct audits of biographical information forms, job descriptions, and employee files to ensure comprehensive documentation

Perform reconciliation of invoices related to employee benefits

Uphold rigorous standards of privacy regarding all personnel information and records

Provide general assistance with broader talent acquisition and recruiting initiatives

Functions as a point of contact for customer service by addressing inquiries and requests from employees

Provide support for corporate gatherings and activities

Ability to understand, speak, read and write English and Spanish

Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees

Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position

Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)

Travel as required

Provide coverage for other positions as requested

Ability to carry and lift boxes and objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Miami Branch staff members are required to comply all state and federal regulatory and legal requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1979, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Bank Bribery Amendments Act. Additionally, all staff members must comply with in the Bci’s Personnel Manual and Code of Ethics and other policies of Bci which are either currently in place or which may become effective during the staff member’s employment.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

COMPUTER:

Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and

EDUCATION:

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in an office or administrative environment is preferred.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are required.
