Director of People and Culture
Luxury Resort — Caribbean — USD $84,000 per annum
About the roleWe are searching for a Director of People and Culture for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a senior people leadership role for an HR professional who serves as a true business partner to the General Manager and leadership team, translating commercial strategy into meaningful people initiatives that attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent.
What you'll do- Develop and execute a People and Culture strategy that supports the property's mission, values, and business goals
- Oversee the full colleague lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and retention
- Drive colleague engagement, wellbeing, and a values-led, high-performance culture across the property
- Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, and grievances with fairness and consistency
- Oversee compensation structures, benefits administration, and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness
- Ensure full compliance with local labour laws, data protection requirements, and HR policies
- Support leadership development and implement learning programs that build capability and drive growth
- Lead the People and Culture team and manage HR systems, reporting, and departmental budgets
- 3–5 years of experience in a comparable HR leadership role, ideally within luxury hospitality
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at the most senior levels
- Solid knowledge of local labour legislation, payroll processes, and HR systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Must have Caribbean experience
- Sharp analytical ability with experience managing complex HR data and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field preferred
- Salary of USD $84,000 per annum
