Position SummaryThe Office Manager / Payroll & HR Coordinator will support daily office operations, payroll processing, employee scheduling, onboarding activities, personnel record management, and administrative compliance functions.
This position works closely with management and employees across multiple departments and offers significant opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Payroll Administration- Assist with weekly payroll processing and payroll-related tasks
- Review employee timecards and attendance records for accuracy
- Process payroll changes and employee updates
- Maintain payroll records and documentation
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee paperwork
- Maintain personnel files and employee records
- Assist with recruiting and interview scheduling
- Support employee training and orientation programs
- Process employment verifications and personnel requests
- Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage
- Coordinate schedule adjustments and time-off requests
- Communicate staffing needs with management
- Support workforce planning and daily staffing operations
- Assist with maintaining Driver Qualification (DQ) files and employee records
- Track employee certifications, licenses, and required documentation
- Support DOT-related recordkeeping and compliance administration
- Maintain organized company records and filing systems
- Prepare reports and assist management with special projects
- Support daily administrative operations
- Coordinate communication between departments
- Answer and direct incoming calls
- Assist with office organization and workflow improvement initiatives
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of office administration, payroll, scheduling, HR support, or related experience
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or related field
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or similar payroll systems
- Experience creating and managing employee schedules
- Experience with DOT Driver Qualification Files and transportation compliance
- Experience working in transportation, towing, logistics, trucking, or service industries
- Bilingual English/Spanish
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
