Human Resources Coordinator

About the Role

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and technical support to the Center's Human Resources function while helping ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, training, and HR reporting. This position requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy, proactive, and able to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. You'll work closely with leadership and staff across the Center to help create a positive employee experience and ensure HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

What

You'll DoRecruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Post vacancies through internal and external recruiting sources.
  • Identify and recruit qualified candidates using databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, job fairs, referrals, media, recruiting firms, and other strategies.
  • Review applications and resumes and screen candidates based on experience, education, training, skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications.
  • Determine applicant eligibility and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Administer pre-employment testing and conduct reference and background checks.
  • Maintain applicant files, applicant flow logs, and weekly employment activity reports.
Onboarding & Employee Support
  • Process new-hire paperwork and establish employee personnel files.
  • Assist with new employee orientation meetings.
  • Ensure personnel files and HRIS records remain accurate, current, and complete.
  • Assist department heads with staff training and orientation programs.
  • Monitor the staff mentoring program.
  • Support employee recognition activities and prepare certificates.
Benefits Administration
  • Explain employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) programs.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment documentation.
  • Verify enrollment forms and submit information to plan administrators.
  • Maintain benefits records and related documentation.
  • Reconcile monthly insurance and drug-screen billing.
HR Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate employee and HR data for HRIS and reporting purposes.
  • Analyze and apply HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, memoranda, performance appraisals, and other documents.
  • Proofread documents and correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and numerical errors.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and applicant information.
  • Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensure data is handled accurately and appropriately.
