Position: HR Associate (Port of Miami)
Join a leading transportation and logistics organization supporting operations across multiple locations. This position supports a wide range of Human Resources functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, onboarding, compliance, training, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, bilingual in English and Spanish, and comfortable working directly with employees and managers while supporting daily HR operations.

Responsibilities:
* Support employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, leave of absence, and retirement plans
* Assist with administration of leave programs, workers' compensation claims, and employee accommodations
* Support employee relations initiatives, including policy interpretation, employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and orientation processes
* Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews and communicate findings to HR leadership
* Assist with performance management processes, including employee evaluations and related documentation
* Coordinate and facilitate HR and compliance training programs
* Maintain required HR postings, records, and compliance documentation
* Monitor employment law updates and assist with HR policy compliance
* Support special projects and other HR initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

* 1+ year of Human Resources experience OR 1 year of administrative experience with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
* Working knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and workplace compliance requirements is a must
* Ability to prepare and maintain employee documentation, including performance-related documentation and employee records
* Experience supporting employee engagement, employee relations, benefits, onboarding, or HR programs
* Intermediate skills using Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Ability to learn functions such as VLOOKUPs, IF statements, conditional formatting, and pivot tables
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish Preferred:
* Experience responding to employee benefits inquiries
* Experience supporting performance evaluations and employee development programs
* Experience with employee relations activities or HR compliance initiatives
* HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
