Senior Software Engineer – ResQ

ResQ is a fast‑growing SaaS platform that streamlines repair, maintenance, and operations for restaurants and trade businesses across North America. Our mission is to create economic empowerment for the service industry.

As a senior software engineer you will design, build, and scale complex, cloud‑based systems on AWS. You will set technical direction, champion architecture best practices, and mentor junior engineers.

• Architect and maintain scalable, resilient systems using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, etc.)
• Lead technical strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Guide project planning, timelines, and cross‑functional collaboration
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and evaluate new technologies for impact
• Design and implement AI‑powered agents using large language models
• Partner with product and customer teams to identify and deliver AI‑driven solutions
• Apply prompt engineering and leverage emerging tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to accelerate development and improve customer experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
• 9+ years of software engineering experience (web & mobile focus)
• Experience leading teams, mentoring, and setting architecture direction
• Strong expertise in AWS (compute, storage, networking, databases, security)
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, serverless, and containers
• Skilled in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Solid grasp of databases and data modeling
• Experience with Graph
  
  QL or REST APIs
• Proficient in Python, Type Script, React, and React Native
• Strong communicator and cross‑functional collaborator
• Strategic, analytical, and customer‑first mindset
• Product‑oriented and obsessed with excellent service delivery

• Curiosity and interest in AI tools that enable developer productivity
• Experience building AI agents
• Up‑to‑date with AI trends such as multimodal LLMs, agentic systems, RAG, and AI‑driven search
