Senior IT Project Manager; Banking

We are seeking a seasoned, local Senior IT Project Manager with strong banking experience to lead complex technology initiatives from planning through execution. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage cross-functional teams, and communicates confidently in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of banking technology projects (planning, execution, monitoring, and closure)
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors across IT, Operations, Compliance, and Business units
• Drive project governance including status reporting, stakeholder updates, and steering committee meetings
• Partner with business leaders to gather requirements and translate into actionable project plans
• Ensure alignment with banking regulations, security standards, and internal controls
• Create and maintain project documentation (RAIDs, schedules, project charters, change requests)
• Proactively identify roadblocks and implement mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track
• Support process improvements and standardization across project delivery practices

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT Project Management experience (senior/lead level)
• Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and deliver large-scale initiatives
• Experience working with technical teams (development, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity)
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
• Bilingual:
  Fluent in Spanish and English (written + verbal)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a flexible schedule environment
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
