We are looking for a C#/.NET Developer – Legacy System Modernization (Gov Tech) to support our client based in Miami, FL.
US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY. This is an onsite position. Candidates must be located or willing to locate to South Florida / Miami. No third parties and no sponsorship.

Opportunity

We are hiring three C#/.NET Developers (1 Senior, 2 Mid-level) to support a mission‑critical modernization effort for a government agency in South Florida. These on‑site roles will play a key part in transitioning legacy systems to a new platform.

The project involves ensuring data integrity during migration, integrating impervious surface reviews into permitting workflows, and implementing automated workload assignment to optimize permitting and drainage operations. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise across application development, system integration, process automation, and regulatory compliance within a large‑scale government environment.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Modernize and migrate legacy systems into Gold Key
  • Ensure compliance with impervious surface, environmental, and historical review regulations
  • Embed impervious surface workflows into permitting systems
  • Implement workload automation features to improve operational efficiency
  • Build and integrate Windows/web applications using C#, .NET, and REST/SOAP services
  • Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures in Oracle
  • Implement MVC architecture for robust, secure software solutions
  • Create SSIS packages and SSRS reports for ETL and data visualization tasks
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and county vendors to deliver scalable applications
  • Support ECM integration, online submissions, payment systems, and invoicing features
Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full‑time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $150,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with C#, .NET Framework, MVC
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery
  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and query optimization
  • Experience with Windows applications, web services, authentication mechanisms
  • Prior success implementing SSIS/SSRS solutions
  • Experience with large system modernization and application integrations
  • Background working in government environments preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
