Workday Integrations Lead Consultant

Overview

A Workday partner and global IT consulting firm is looking for a Workday Integrations Consultant to support one of their end clients on-site in Miami, FL (near Miami Airport). This is a 6-month contract engagement (W2 or C2C) paying $60–$100 per hour.

This role focuses on end-to-end Workday integrations design, build, testing, release readiness, and production support across core HCM domains. You will work closely with HR Tech and business stakeholders and may also collaborate with Service Now HRSD teams where processes span both platforms.

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST), with strong logging, error handling, and retries.
• Translate business requirements into technical integration designs (mappings, transformations, security domains) aligned to integration and data governance standards.
• Build and optimize event-driven and scheduled integrations syncing core HCM data (workers, org, jobs/positions, compensation/payroll) with internal and third-party systems.
• Own testing and release readiness (unit, SIT, regression, UAT), including cutovers and post-go-live warranty support.
• Provide production monitoring and support: troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain operational documentation/runbooks.
• Partner with HR Tech and cross-platform teams (including Service Now HRSD where relevant) to support broader HR transformation and automation opportunities.

• 3–6 years of hands-on Workday integration experience across Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• Proven track record delivering integrations for core HCM domains (worker/org, job & position, compensation/payroll touchpoints) with strong data mapping and transformation skills.
• Experience executing full testing life cycles (unit through UAT), release readiness, and production support for Workday integrations in an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with HR/IT stakeholders and operate within HR technology governance and data integrity standards.
• Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills (diagnosing interface issues, parsing logs, implementing preventive improvements).
• Preferred - familiarity with integrations supporting HR service delivery (e.g., routing HR transactions through Service Now HRSD and syncing back to Workday).
• Preferred - Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Integration, Studio) or Workday Pro accreditations (nice to have).
