Summary
The Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the Bank’s data governance, data quality, reporting integrity, and data-related processes across the organization. Working closely with the Chief Technology Officer, this role ensures that enterprise data is accurate, secure, well-managed, and effectively leveraged to support regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. This position serves as the Bank’s primary owner of data standards, data management practices, and reporting coordination, partnering with business units to ensure consistent and reliable use of data throughout the organization.

Data Governance & Quality
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, standards, and policies across the Bank.
- Establish data definitions, data ownership, and data quality controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Monitor data integrity and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with business units and IT staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related controls and documentation.
Reporting & Analytics Support
- Oversee the structure, accuracy, and consistency of internal and regulatory reports.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Compliance, and other departments to support reporting needs.
- Ensure data sources used for reporting are reliable, documented, and properly controlled.
- Coordinate enhancements to reporting tools, dashboards, and data extracts.
Technology & Automation Collaboration
- Work closely with the Chief Technology Officer on data strategy, system integrations, and data architecture.
- Collaborate with the Junior Automation Developer to identify opportunities for data automation, process improvement, and efficiency.
- Support data flows between core banking systems, ancillary systems, and reporting platforms.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure data management practices align with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and Bank policies.
- Partner with Information Security, and Compliance to support audits, exams, and data-related reviews.
- Maintain appropriate access controls and data handling standards to protect sensitive customer and Bank information.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Document data processes, data flows, and data dependencies across systems.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Support change management related to new systems, data enhancements, and reporting updates.

Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field required. 5 years of experience in data management, reporting, analytics, or related IT roles, preferably within financial services or banking. Experience working with core banking systems, financial data, and regulatory reporting strongly preferred.
Skills And CompetenciesStrong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management best practices. Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and database concepts. Ability to translate business needs into clear data and reporting requirements. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
Preferred/ Nice-to-have Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are considered a plus:
- Proficiency with Jack Henry Silver Lake core banking system, including experience working with core data structures, extracts, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce Financial Services Cloud or similar), including data integration and reporting use cases.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, dashboard development, and integration with enterprise data sources.
- Experience building or supporting executive dashboards and regulatory reporting in financial services.
- Familiarity with data integration tools, ETL processes, and API-based data exchanges.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture is a plus.
