Data Analyst
Overview
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
Responsibilities- Data Analysis, Reports, and Dashboards:
Work with business teams to review processes and develop data and reporting requirements. Develop queries and analyze data sets. Perform data visualization to explore trends and relationships in data. Develop dashboards, reports, and prepare presentations of analysis, insights, trends, metrics, and results for management and senior leadership to monitor and improve business performance. Modernize/improve existing business processes using advanced tools and technologies. - Database Marketing and Advanced Analytics:
Develop SQL queries and SAS programs to develop lists of guests that meet campaign and targeted offer criteria. Generate email files, direct mail files, and call lists to communicate offers to the guests. Design, develop, automate, maintain and enhance machine learning models to prioritize guests for targeted offers, to personalize emails and web experience, and to generate prioritized call lists for database marketing campaigns.
Analyze campaign response rates and adjust code for future campaigns to optimize booking conversion and maximize revenue. Develop solutions based on Generative AI tools. - Data Engineering and Automated Solutions:
Develop solutions to collect guest and transactional data from a diverse set of sources and implement business rules to calculate relevant KPIs and metrics. Ensure data accuracy and optimize processing performance. Develop scripts to ensure data is collected and processed automatically and reliably on schedule and delivered to the business for timely, data-driven decision making. - Technical leadership, training, and mentoring:
Lead design efforts on BI solutions and applications. Engage other data stakeholders and subject area experts for enterprise-level solutions. Provide guidance and training to business users on the usage of BI tools and best practices. Mentor BI analysts and provide technical guidance. - Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics or Statistics
- 5+ years of experience working in the Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Science area.
- 2+ years of developer experience with a BI tool. 2+ years of experience with SQL and Databases.
- Experience with Machine Learning, Generative AI, SAS Discover, Tableau, SAS, SSRS, Enterprise Miner, R, Python, Google Analytics, and Hadoop is a plus.
- BI systems administration experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently work on projects and provide technical leadership to other members of the team.
- Ability to clearly understand business processes, drivers and KPIs.
- Clear understanding of BI and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Clear understanding of dimensional data models and SQL, systems integration, and automation
