Overview
Location: Downtown Miami (hybrid 3 days onsite)
Engagement: Contract (6 months, ongoing)
We are seeking a Mid-Level IT Project Manager with strong experience managing full-cycle application development projects within an SDLC environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering IT projects while ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft project management tools.
Responsibilities- Initiate and charter multiple phases of IT projects across the full project lifecycle
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including scope, schedule, cost, and resource planning
- Develop, track, and maintain project baselines for cost, schedule, and scope
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and properly stored
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, driving timely resolution
- Provide clear, accurate weekly and monthly project status reporting and forecasting
- Lead organizational change management activities, including readiness assessments, sign-offs, and project close-out
- Act as a project champion by fostering a positive team environment and resolving project-related challenges
- Successfully lead cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives within time and budget constraints
- Apply PMBOK best practices and methodologies, providing practical examples and project deliverables when required
- Utilize project scheduling and tracking tools, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Project and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience)
- 5–7 years of progressive experience managing IT projects
- Proven experience managing full SDLC and application development projects
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Strong proficiency with project scheduling and reporting tools, including MS Project
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong customer service and collaboration mindset
- Current Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) highly desirable
