Senior Enterprise Systems Administrator (Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure)
Contract Position | 12 Months | Miami, FL
Position OverviewOur client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator with 11-15 years of expertise in hybrid cloud environments, enterprise directory services, and virtualized infrastructure. This role requires a technical professional who can manage complex systems across on-premises and cloud platforms while maintaining high availability and security standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud platforms
- Manage enterprise directory services including Active Directory, LDAP, and identity management systems
- Oversee virtualized infrastructure using VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies
- Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and optimization across enterprise environments
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization projects
- Implement and maintain security policies, patch management, and compliance standards
- Provide tier 3 support for complex technical issues and system outages
- Mentor junior administrators and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Document system configurations, procedures, and maintain technical architecture diagrams
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 11-15 years of hands-on experience in systems administration
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
- Extensive experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Strong virtualization experience with VMware vSphere or equivalent
- Experience with Power Shell, Python, or other automation scripting
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewalls
- Relevant certifications preferred (MCSE, VCP, AWS/Azure certifications)
- Competitive hourly rate of up to $51/hour
- 12-month contract with potential for extension
