Job Description & How to Apply Below

Holtium is a security risk management platform that helps businesses assess, manage, and reduce security risk through data-driven methodologies. We serve clients across multiple industries, delivering actionable insights that bridge security assessments with vendor recommendations and equipment specifications.

The Role

We’re hiring a Product Engineer to collaborate on the full software development lifecycle s is not a traditional engineering role. You’ll plan, guide, test, and deliver software by directing AI-assisted development workflows end to end. Think of it as being the person who knows what to build, how to break the work down, how to guide AI tools through implementation, and how to make sure what ships actually works.

The ideal candidate has a strong product/project management background, understands software fundamentals, and is exceptionally good at translating business requirements into structured development work. You don’t need to be a senior engineer, but you need to be fluent enough to review code, design test scenarios, and manage technical debt.

What You'll Do Planning
  • Lead conceptual discussions and translate product ideas into structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Build and maintain prototypes to validate direction before committing to full development.
  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize the product roadmap based on client needs and business objectives.
Development
  • Direct AI-assisted development workflows: guide AI tools through reading, editing, writing, and reviewing code.
  • Ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to architectural standards across the codebase.
  • Make pragmatic technical decisions about frameworks, dependencies, and implementation approaches.
Testing
  • Design test scripts, scenarios, and acceptance criteria for each feature.
  • Conduct unit testing and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders.
  • Identify edge cases, regressions, and gaps before features reach production.
Delivery
  • Own the release process from staging through production deployment.
  • Run feedback sessions with stakeholders, capture adjustments, and prioritize fixes.
  • Track and reduce technical debt systematically across development cycles.
Ongoing
  • Research and evaluate emerging tools, skills, and MCP integrations that improve development velocity.
  • Organize and maintain enterprise knowledge systems (Notion, documentation, internal wikis).
  • Continuously improve development processes, templates, and workflows.
Who You Are
  • 3+ years in a product management, project management, or program management role, ideally in a software environment.
  • Solid understanding of software development fundamentals: you can read code, understand architecture, and spot issues in a pull request.
  • Experience managing end-to-end development workflows from planning and documentation through UAT and delivery.
  • Comfortable working with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate development. Ideally, you’ve already built something this way.
  • Strong documentation instincts. You naturally create clarity through well-structured specs, user stories, and process documentation.
  • Familiarity with modern development stacks (Supabase, React, Node.js, or similar) is a plus but not required.
  • Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity. You’ll be the primary owner of technical delivery at a small, fast-moving company.
  • Ownership: Acts with initiative, follows through on commitments, and takes responsibility for outcomes
  • Client-Centered: Seeks to deeply understand client needs and build solutions that unlock measurable value
  • Urgent & Focused: Prioritizes high-impact actions, moves decisively, and drives measurable progress
  • Clarity-Driven: Communicates with precision and ensures alignment with clients and teammates.
  • Trustworthy: Operates with integrity, transparency, and earns confidence from peers and clients
  • Collaborative: Builds trust and momentum through cross-functional teamwork.
  • Builder Mentality: Thrives in ambiguity, builds from the ground up, and continuously seeks improvement.
  • A front-row seat to how AI is reshaping software development, with the autonomy to define the playbook.
  • Direct impact on a product used by real clients
  • Reports to:

    CTO
  • Team:
Individual contributor with potential to scale into team leadership
  • Core Benefits:
Competitive base salary and equity participation, health insurance
