We're looking for a strategic, highly-creative, boundary-pushing Social Media Director to architect and lead social presence across our portfolio of companies, with the primary focus on a rapidly growing insurtech platform.
This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for defining the long-term social vision, building scalable systems, protecting brand reputation in regulated markets, and driving measurable business impact through organic and executive-led social strategy.
You will operate at the intersection of brand, growth, and reputation — translating company strategy into creative, credible, high-performing social ecosystems. This role requires executive presence, sound judgment, operational rigor, and a deep understanding of uber successful brand-building across social.

We partner with and operate businesses that sit at the intersection of technology, services, and regulated industries—creating durable companies that scale responsibly and endure.
Our portfolio includes a new, fast-growing, modern insurance platform for small and mid-sized businesses, alongside other operating companies and initiatives within the company ecosystem.
- 3-4 days/week onsite in downtown Miami (Brickell) - (sometimes more if needed)

- Define and execute a multi-brand social strategy aligned with portfolio growth objectives.
- Establish KPIs tied to engagement quality, brand equity, and business outcomes — not vanity metrics.
- Advise executive leadership on social positioning, thought leadership, and reputational risk.
- Build a scalable social infrastructure capable of supporting multiple regulated brands.
- Serve as the guardian of brand voice across platforms, ensuring consistency, credibility, and compliance.
- Develop proactive and reactive communication frameworks for high-visibility or sensitive moments.
- Partner with legal/compliance stakeholders to ensure adherence to industry regulations.
- Lead crisis communications strategy across social channels when required.
- Develop and manage executive-led social strategies, particularly on Linked In and X.
- Position leadership as trusted voices within fintech, insurance, and infrastructure sectors.
- Ghostwrite and collaborate on high-impact thought leadership content.
- Design automated, documented, and compliant content workflows and approval processes.
- Build and oversee cross-platform content calendars with strategic intent.
- Establish scalable reporting frameworks that tie social performance to marketing and revenue goals.
- Manage external vendors, freelancers, or future team hires as needed.
- Collaborate with content, design, growth, and paid media teams to develop social-first campaigns.
- Drive engagement through high-quality static, carousel, video, and short-form content.
- Monitor trends, industry discourse, and cultural moments to ensure relevant participation.
- Leverage insights and analytics to continuously refine strategy and elevate performance.
- Experience supporting executive or founder-led social presence.
- Experience with social listening, sentiment analysis, or crisis communications.
- Familiarity with social automation and scheduling tools.
- Experience working in a start-up, venture studio, or multi-brand environment.
- Interest in infrastructure, insurance, or SMB-focused businesses.
- 7–10+ years of progressive social media leadership experience.
- Deep experience in architecting and amplifying highly visible brands across social channels - in house or in agencies.
- Fintech, insurance, SaaS, B2B, or other regulated industry experience a plus.
- Proven ability to translate brand strategy into measurable engagement and business impact.
- Experience advising executives or managing founder-led social presence.
- Strong writing and editorial instincts with demonstrated brand stewardship.
- Track record of building systems, workflows, and scalable social operations.
- Ability to operate with composure and discernment in high-stakes situations.
- Experience managing multiple brands or complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort reporting to executive leadership.
