One Park Financial (OPF) is a fast-growing Fin Tech (Financial Technology) company headquartered in Coconut Grove, Florida. OPF connects small businesses with flexible financing and funding options to help entrepreneurs acquire the working capital they need to grow.

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to help elevate our analytics platform by applying best practices in dbt modeling, metrics design, and analytics engineering. This role partners closely with analytics and business stakeholders to transform raw SQL and data sources into well-structured, tested, and scalable data models that power reporting and decision-making.

This position sits at the intersection of analytics and engineering, with a strong focus on data modeling, metric definitions, semantic consistency, and maintainable analytics code.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain dbt models following analytics engineering best practices.
  • Convert ad-hoc SQL and legacy queries into clean, scalable fact and dimension models.
  • Define and maintain standardized business metrics and semantic models in dbt.
  • Implement data tests, documentation, and quality validation processes.
  • Optimize SQL queries for performance in AWS Athena.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to align on metric definitions and reporting logic.
  • Use Git/Git Hub for version control, peer reviews, and collaborative development.
  • Support downstream analytics and Power BI reporting use cases.
  • 3+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud).
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience optimizing queries in AWS Athena.
  • Experience modeling structured data using fact/dimension frameworks.
  • Experience working with Amazon S3 and modern data lake environments.
  • Familiarity with Git‑based workflows and code reviews.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have
  • Experience with dimensional modeling (Kimball methodology).
  • Experience designing or managing semantic/metrics layers.
  • Familiarity with data lake or lakehouse architectures.
  • Exposure to AWS Glue.
  • Experience supporting Power BI reporting environments.
Work Schedule
