Database Administrator, Data Analyst
Job Summary
The Data Management I (DM I) is primarily responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of donor records in the university’s donor database. The role involves research and analysis, interpretation of data, and documentation to support high‑quality constituent records. Responsibilities include maintaining the University Advancement system’s database (The Raiser's Edge), performing data audits, conducting global data appends, deploying and maintaining secure web parts for e‑commerce forms, and utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau for reporting and audits.
Responsibilities- Retrieve, analyze, and interpret data; develop and maintain procedures to improve data quality and administration.
- Conduct quality control, audits, and metrics to ensure data integrity; address data quality issues with users.
- Research and correct problems with data entry; coordinate and manage data cleanup projects.
- Create queries to extract information from the Raiser's Edge database and data warehouse; generate and distribute reports and lists.
- Coordinate data collection with units, colleges, schools, and fundraising professionals.
- Perform data imports for data integrity and annual giving; develop imports to integrate data from other systems.
- Implement policies and procedures related to data entry standards, reporting, queries, and database management tasks.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with clients and other offices.
- Develop processes to automate current tasks such as list and report generation.
Bachelor’s degree and at least one (1) year of experience with database, report writing, queries, imports, and exports.
Desired QualificationsKnowledge of Image Now and/or Paper Save; at least one year of experience with a fundraising database such as Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, including report writing, queries, imports, and exports.
