Job Context
Director of IT Business Systems (CRM) is a senior technology leader responsible for the strategy, governance, and continuous evolution of Simpro’s internal CRM ecosystem and related go‑to‑market business systems. You will own the platforms that power our sales, marketing, and customer success teams — aligning system capabilities with Simpro’s growth ambitions and ensuring seamless integration across the broader technology stack. This is a hands‑on leadership role that blends technical depth with business acumen and executive partnership.
WhatYou’ll Do Platform Ownership
Own the roadmap and day‑to‑day operations of Simpro’s CRM platforms (Salesforce or equivalent), including configuration, integrations, data governance, and licensing strategy. Ensure system reliability, scalability, and alignment with business processes across sales, marketing, and customer success.
Stakeholder PartnershipServe as the primary IT partner to the Chief Revenue Officer, VP of Marketing, and VP of Customer Success. Translate business requirements into scalable system solutions, facilitate prioritisation across competing stakeholder demands, and communicate clearly on project status, risks, and outcomes.
Systems IntegrationDesign and maintain the integration architecture between the CRM and Simpro’s core product platform, marketing automation tools, support systems, billing systems, and data warehouse. Champion clean data flows and a single source of truth for customer data.
Data & ReportingDrive data quality, hygiene, and governance standards across all CRM platforms. Partner with the data and analytics team to ensure accurate pipeline, renewal, and customer health reporting. Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that empower business leaders with real‑time insight.
Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop a team of CRM administrators, business analysts, and solution architects. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, user‑centric thinking, and delivery excellence. Manage vendor relationships and third‑party implementation partners.
Program DeliveryPlan and execute CRM transformation programs, platform upgrades, and change management initiatives. Apply agile and project management methodologies to deliver on time and within budget, with a clear focus on adoption and measurable business outcomes.
What You’ll Bring- Experience:
8+ years in IT or business systems roles, with at least 3 years at a director or senior manager level - CRM expertise:
Deep hands‑on experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) or comparable enterprise CRM platforms; certifications are a strong plus - SaaS industry:
Background in a high‑growth B2B SaaS environment, ideally with exposure to field service management or vertical software - Integration fluency:
Solid understanding of API‑based integrations, middleware platforms (e.g., Mule Soft, Boomi), and enterprise data architecture - Leadership:
Proven ability to lead distributed, cross‑functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders at the executive level - Communication:
Excellent communicator who can bridge technical complexity and business outcomes for executive and non‑technical audiences alike
