Job Description

What You Will Do- Onsite: performing day‑to‑day operational tasks to validate all systems are in a healthy state while looking for ways to continually improve this process through automation.
- Manage a small team of support engineers to assign issues and follow up on resolution.
- Hands‑on technical expertise for issue resolution, scripting, and incident problem fixing.
- Check availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of services by engineering reliability into software and systems.
- Respond to and resolve emergent service problems, document knowledge and build automation tools to prevent problem recurrence.
- Leverage application performance monitoring tools to diagnose and analyze systems performance and availability issues.
- Continuously look for ways to reduce incidents and drive down MTTR.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation (may be required).
- Find recurring issues, determine root cause, and work with cross‑functional teams to resolve.
- Identify and implement automation for routine tasks and to prevent outages.
- Provide data and analysis to aid in the investigation of incidents, problems, and overall service quality.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent skills/experience).
- 10+ years of experience supporting Windows systems administration and Linux.
- 5‑10+ years of experience leading a small team of engineers.
- Experience supporting enterprise‑class apps:
Windows Server, AD, AWS, Azure Cloud. - 5‑10+ years of scripting experience (Shell, PHP, Perl, Power Shell, Python).
- Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large‑scale distributed systems.
- Experience monitoring & performance with Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of IP networking, network analysis, performance and application issues using standard tools like tcpdump and Wireshark.
- Logical problem solver, data driven, with strong ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Experience with Windows Directory services.
- VMware ESXi and vCenter technologies.
- AWS or Azure Cloud certifications.
- Experience managing systems in IaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of Cisco routers and switches; CCNA/CCNP.
- Comptia Linux+ or Red Hat Certified System Administrator.
- Supported Citrix Xen App/Xen Desktop implementations.
- Experience with Commvault data protection software or equivalent.
- Ability to debug Terraform and Chef code.
