Absence Management Work Stream Lead

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Absence Management Work Stream Lead for a new Oracle HCM implementation project with a client located in Florida. This is a remote role with some travel to the client site and is anticipated to run until January 2027.

W2 Only - US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the client-facing lead for the Absence Management workstream, guiding the client through design decisions and providing expertise on Oracle solution options and leading practices.
• Design, configure, and implement the Oracle Absence Management Cloud and Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) modules to meet specific business requirements.
• Manage the full workstream lifecycle, including the build, test, and deployment phases of the project.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Payroll, and IT, to gather and translate functional requirements into scalable Oracle solutions.
• Document all configuration workbooks and design specifications, ensuring clear and comprehensive records of the implementation.
• Develop and execute thorough test plans to ensure system accuracy and compliance, including leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Train end-users and stakeholders on system functionality and best practices.
• Ensure that all system configurations comply with labor laws, union agreements, and internal company policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud implementations.
• Proven experience with Oracle Absence Management Cloud and Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) modules.
• Strong functional and technical knowledge of the Oracle platform, including the ability to discuss solution options and leading practices.
• Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role, managing and leading a project workstream.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database solutions (12c or higher), PL/SQL programming, and performance tuning.
• Ability to delegate tasks and collaborate effectively with an offshore team.
• Experience with union rules and timekeeping complexities in unionized environments, particularly within the Construction and Utilities industries.
