Job Summary The Business Applications Analyst I specializes in understanding the needs of the various clinical and operational departments in order to translate them into technical and software system specifications and solutions. This role is responsible for application systems analysis, implementation, maintenance, minor development, and support for all assigned business applications. The Business Applications Analyst I must apply a disciplined approach to utilizing technology in improving organization performance.
This role will require the the ability to support applications including, but not limited to, client CRM, EHR, productivity, and financial applications. This position works closely with both internal and external customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Gather, evaluate and document functional and non-functional requirements based on business goals
Produce workflow designs and participates in meetings on new process adoption
Takes personal ownership of issues, ensures a high degree of accuracy with all deliverables, demonstrates above-average service recovery, and communicates with customers in a consistent manner
Shows a creative approach to problem diagnosis and troubleshooting
Participates in projects requiring integration of new or modified system/processes into the work environment
Engage in discussions related to the development of training content for users
Provides application assistance and consultation within assigned product area Participate in the functional testing and assist with user acceptance testing
Provides support to internal customers during system upgrade
Conducts training and orientation for new and existing staff needing application support
Work closely with internal clinical and operational departments to maintain open line of communication and system optimization
Collaborates with vendors and network engineering to identify, diagnose, and resolve recurring incidents
Participates with business application system updates and communicates with communicates outcomes with Management Performs other assigned duties and special projects on an as needed basis
Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities required.
Critical Results Delivers on initial projected deadlines 90% of the time Closes assigned service issues according to established service levels by issue priority 90% of the time Completes all issue resolution document within 48 hours
Best Practices Manages time in an orderly and consistent manner
Produces task plans for accomplishing all significant work assignments
Uses company provided productivity tools actively
Education & Experience Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS or related field preferred
Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
At least 3+ years of experience in the technical field or healthcare field
Education Requirements Required/Preferred Education Level Discipline Preferred Undergraduate Degree Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies Strong written and communication skills
Strong initiative skills
Strong analytical and data management skills
Must be detail-oriented, possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, organization skills and a spirit with a willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to complete projects accurately and timely.
Must also be able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and abide to specific deadlines
Physical Requirements This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
