Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Solution Design – Lead requirements‑gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Architect secure, resilient, and high‑performing messaging and collaboration platforms with consideration for high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, alerting, and observability.
- Engineering & Implementation – Engineer and deploy new capabilities across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and related Microsoft
365 collaboration services. Develop automation and orchestration solutions to reduce operational overhead and support consistent, secure configuration management. Conduct design reviews, validate solution architecture, and ensure alignment with established technical best practices. - Operational Enablement – Develop and deliver operational documentation, training materials, runbooks, and knowledge resources for Service Desk and Operations teams. Provide advanced engineering support for complex or escalated issues while enabling operational teams to manage standard support workflows. Coordinate vendor escalations and maintain key technical relationships.
- Governance & Compliance – Define and support governance models for Teams lifecycle management, app permissions, SharePoint configurations, and broader Microsoft
365 security and compliance controls. Ensure solutions align with IT governance standards, information security policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience gathering business and technical requirements and translating them into detailed engineering designs.
- Proven experience designing highly available, resilient, and observable enterprise platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft
365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams governance, lifecycle management, SharePoint Online architecture, integrations, and automation. - Knowledge of Microsoft
365 Security & Compliance capabilities (Microsoft Purview, eDiscovery, retention, audit, and information governance). - Understanding of Microsoft Entra External Identities, including B2B collaboration, guest access controls, and cross‑tenant access.
- Hands‑on experience with Power Shell and modern automation frameworks; familiarity with Microsoft Graph API is a plus.
- Experience designing or enhancing monitoring, alerting, and telemetry for cloud services.
- Familiarity with email security ecosystems (Proofpoint, Mimecast) and identity and security integrations.
- Strong communication skills in order to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrates initiative and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Highly collaborative and effective in cross‑functional team environments.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Expected annual base salary range: $140,000 – $200,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
