Job Responsibilities
- Open to US, Canada, and UK only – no sponsorship available for this role.
- Heavy programming and data review for real‑world (RW) data analyses. Experience with commercial databases such as Optum, Health Verity, or IQVIA Pharm Metrics is important.
- Support protocol and statistical analysis plan (SAP) review for epidemiologists; ICD knowledge and experience is also required.
- Develop programs and provide statistical programming support for epidemiologists and client or business use; create analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures, and evaluate programming processes for productivity gains.
- Prepare data specifications and review data and program outputs against protocol requirements, flagging issues or questions and escalating as appropriate.
- Address messy data by identifying issues and possible solutions.
- Understand follow‑up periods and impact; use of ICD or other clinical terminology.
- Use of AI/ML for workflow and scaffolding is ideal.
- Perform internal and sponsor meetings as required, contribute to mentoring of programming personnel, prepare meeting materials, and maintain project documentation.
- Minimal travel may be required.
- Undergraduate or master’s degree in a scientific or statistical discipline such as biostatistics, mathematics, or epidemiology.
- Extensive programming experience in SAS, R, Python, or other required software in an RW environment.
- Programmatic cohort derivation experience; index date definition.
- Modeling experience: GLM, logistic regression, Cox proportional hazards, propensity score matching, incidence computation.
- OMOP Common Data Model understanding.
- SQL experience.
- Experience with commercial databases:
- Claims data – Optum, Health Verity, IQVIA Pharm Metrics
- Optional:
Market Scan, VA data, Medicaid, Medicare
- Nice to have: AI/ML modeling, Git Hub experience and versioning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- English proficiency.

Salary RangeBase salary range: $80,600.00 – $ (actual salary may vary by qualifications, skills, and experience).
