Automated Litigation Support Lab Manager—Full‑Time, Experienced. Department:
Finance. This role serves as the lead manager responsible for delivering lab data processing services at Contact Government Services (CGS) formerly known as ALS. The Lab Manager ensures that all incoming productions meet ESI specifications, notifies attorneys of deficiencies, and collaborates with clients on technical challenges.
- Lead delivery of lab data processing services.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks; develop and implement processing approaches for electronic files in accordance with ESI specifications.
- Consult attorneys and support staff on best practices to conform to ESI specifications; participate in teleconferences with co‑counsel, client agencies, and opposing counsel as requested.
- Notify case attorneys of any deficiencies found in incoming productions.
- Keep clients informed on laboratory activities, including deadlines, technical challenges, and resource availability.
- Support web hosting for cases managed by the lab.
- Manage a team of eDiscovery professionals at client‑site laboratories, including scheduling, requirements assessment, work assignment, deadline enforcement, progress reporting, and quality‑control of deliverables.
- Advise client attorneys, paralegals, and case managers on all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), especially Data Collection, Processing, Hosting, Review, Analytics, and Production.
- Extensive Relativity experience required.
- Relativity certifications (Relativity Certified Administrator or Relativity Analytics Specialist) strongly preferred.
- At least eight years of eDiscovery experience, including electronic file processing, image and data file conversion, data culling, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis and review.
- At least five years of management or supervisory experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the litigation discovery process and the EDRM workflow.
- Working knowledge and certification of document‑review software (e.g., iConect, Relativity, Venio).
- Undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field required; a waiver may be approved by the Contracting Officer.
- Experience with litigation‑support tools such as LAW, IPRO, Concordance, MS Office Suite, and Live Note highly valued.
