Cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison

The Position (Field-based):
Experienced cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) within Medical Affairs. Candidate must be located within one of the territories.

• Engage cardiologists/endocrinologists/healthcare professionals/stakeholders to educate on clinical and scientific evidence to advance the treatment landscape.
• Educate on RNAi technology and cardiometabolic conditions including hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome, and hypercholesterolemia.
• Synthesize and communicate clinical/scientific insights to internal stakeholders.
• Attend and present at scientific congresses and meetings.
• Respond to unsolicited inquiries per MSL compliance standards.
• Support company-sponsored clinical trials via investigator site engagement.
• Support speaker training and keep speakers up to date on evolving disease/product data.
• Support scientific congresses, including Opinion Leader engagement, session coverage, booth, and company debriefs.
• Monitor/analyze scientific publications, clinical trials, and the competitive landscape.
• Maintain clinical/scientific expertise and industry business acumen.
• Document MSL quantitative and qualitative accomplishments.
• Provide scientific support for Med Info inquiries.
• Develop scientific content for medical education initiatives.
• Support Medical Affairs special projects/initiatives.

• PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO (required)
• 5 years of experience as an MSL
• Cardiometabolic therapeutic experience
• Industry Medical Affairs experience at a biotech/pharma
• High verbal and written communication skills
• Collaboration ability; strong cardiometabolic knowledge; data interpretation and translation skills
• Understanding of healthcare delivery system (managed care)
• Understanding of research study design/execution and strategic implications
• Proven results orientation; comfort with ambiguity
• Strong project/time management and organizational skills
• Ability to travel
