telecom procurement analyst

our client is currently seeking a qualified telecom procurement analyst to join their team onsite in miami or palm beach gardens, fl. This is a contract opportunity for the duration of one year.

responsibilities
  • design and implementation of integrated systems for data transmission in digital and analog environments.
  • order simple and complex wired and wireless circuits from multiple domestic local and national carriers.
  • support planning for and deployment of telecom and/or data network projects.
  • ensure proper system configuration of local pbx, soft switch applications, and related change control.
  • represent design engineering in the field.
qualifications
  • minimum 10+ years of direct experience working with telcos and large carrier operations, billing, and designs in osp.
  • well versed in the end-to-end lifecycle of ordering telecom services from major providers, including telecommunication, lumen, and others.
  • familiarity with fiber systems, microwave radio systems, or telecommunications transmission equipment.
  • knowledge and experience in telecommunications theory and systems, including hardware and software.
  • experience in planning and implementation of telecom transport systems.
  • must be highly proficient in microsoft excel and power point.
  • experience and understanding in at least two of the following areas:
    • telecommunication billing – input and review of monthly billing.
    • wireless billing, sim cards, ordering, and support.
    • microsoft 365, business suite, sharepoint, networking.
    • mpls circuits, pots, pri, and ethernet services.
  • ability to work and communicate well (verbally and written) with customers and project team members.
  • strong customer service orientation and ability to support multiple task assignments.
  • ability to interface well with field technicians as demonstrated by previous experience.
  • experience in a technical organization.
wage range

the rate for this position is between $25.88
$34.50 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors may affect starting pay within this range including geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
